I had a piece of lead drippings get under this adj. screw once. Had me scratching my head for bit. symptoms same as you.

who makes the 22cal boolit holder that holds the bullet while you turn the base? I read about it then lost it. 37 grain 22cal boolits are very small and hard to hold.

The forcing cone is not the problem. It's the rocket shaped thing in the bore between the lands is tall than the bore and indents the boolits as they pass over it.
