I made a test plate using 3/16 7075 aluminum for a 5 cavity mold. It works just fine.

Hello Everyone,
Tom from, Accurate Molds, here. With Magma Engineering closing down I would like to stock their sprue plates. I am looking for the contact information for anyone from Magma.

For many years I've used a Browning B80, with a 21" choke tube barrel from a Beretta just like that Remington special field, having a straight stock. The Browning is just a re-badged Beretta, so...

I chronographed and pattern tested 3 different barrel lengths in my 12 ga 870 back in the 80s.
After finding that there is virtually no difference, I've used a 21" ever since.

I was using those extensively, 50 years ago.
Saw no change of impact and certainly no accuracy difference when switching to crimp ons.
The only "problem" with the non-crimp type is they can...

Has this mold produced good bullets in the past, with a different lead source?
Wrinkled bullets from a new mold usually happens because of a trace of oil on the cavity surface.

Most machined products have a dimension tolerance window. It's impossible to cast a bullet to a perfect .359000" diameter, so that's where the .000/.002 tolerance comes in.

Assuming that you are using boolits, you get severe leading in your bore. Be prepared for a lot of scrubbing.

There are very few true 375 Winchesters (guns) out there.
If yours is a Marlin or Winchester, it's actually a 38-55 and will be much more accurate using 38-55 brass. Measure your chamber to see...

The 348 Winchester has a very short leade and no freebore at all. 348 boolits are designed with that in mind.

With a good light, you can see into the chamber and examine the rifling leade. If the rifling starts on one side of the bore closer than on the other side, you've got that crooked Thompson chamber.
