    which sizer are you using for your 300 blk boolits?

    I just picked up a .311 mold for the whisper/blk from Swede! It is the PB as I tend to use it suppressed in my 300 blk. I plan on tumble lube, but am pretty new to all of this. I was thinking of some type of lee sizing die? What size is eveyone using? I see there are 308, 309, 310, 311, etc. I just don't know what to use or what others are using in the AR 15's.

    thanks!

    I have the NOE that casts a 247gr PB that I finished sizing/lubing this afternoon. I sized to .311 since my barrel slugged out to .309. I used my Lyman 4500 Luber for the task.

    I size .309, no leading in either of our 300BO uppers. When I size to .311 I have a small number that won't chamber in my upper but still work in my sons. I hate doing the pogo stick thing to get the stuck ones out so I size them all to .309.

    Have you slugged your upper? .309 is what I'm using but it will depend upon your throat and bore.

    Where are you getting a .310 sizer? Definitely slug the barrel. I've had minimum leading with .309, but going to size to .311 to see if it gets better. Yes you'll need to gas check that bullet. I'm home brewing 45/45/10 lube which I like.

    Using a .310 die in a Star and Tac#1 for lube. Hornady GC's on all boolits.

    See Here

    But I also opened a LEE .308 to .310 for presizing before heat treatment.

    Why do you think I ordered a 310? The grooves at the throat are just under .309 ( call it .3088 ), it gets a little tighter at the muzzle (.3081).
    All in all a pretty good barrel, I like the taper to go that direction.

    <edit>

    Many want a GC on an AR boolit.
    They say that as a PB goes past the gas port, it has flame cutting that results in blowing lead down the gas system.
    I can say I've had a couple of different systems - some liked PB others want GC only.
    My 300 blk wants GCs.

    I use the lee 2305r mold and coww that are water cooled and no gas checks then es powder coated with harbor freight yellow then sized 309 with lee push thru then loaded in LC brass that I cut and formed in a hornady dies and loaded with 9.0 gr aa 1680 with wolf srm primers . oal 2.100 they shoot great in my ar with no leading. I get 1" 10 shot groups at 50 yds but then I get a flyer that opens it to 3" and im working on that now to try and stop the flyers .this is a 300blk novensky 14" pistol gas upper
