I've got the itch, but don't got the scratch.
Think of all the powders that have been discontinued and others introduced while we waited.
I would have guessed after T-day for that Xmas rush, but this seems like more incompetence then planning.
Are you in need a pan lube cutter?

Today's the 16th and Midway's website is still saying the 18th.....could it be true that this book is finally coming out?
If anyone gets notification that your book has shipped can you please post about it here? I've already preordered mine and am just waiting for it now.
I have a query in to my inside source. Please stand by.
I talked with Roseann at Lyman customer service yesterday. She said the printer is working on it now and should be at sale counters this month (Nov.).Robert
mine was shipped the 11/16/10 from lyman . acording to the fedx tracking website it is in kansas city and should arive at my doorstop by 11/24/10
I updated the other threads on this topic, but forgot this one.
Pallets of the books arrived at Lyman on the 16th. Lyman began shipping bulk orders to distributors immediately, and also individual orders to those who ordered directly from Lyman.
If you ordered directly from Lyman, you ought to have one by Thanksgiving. If you ordered one from Midway, Grafs or the like, it will be a bit longer because of the time to get them to those distributors by truck.
Graf's (www.grafs.com) also is showing them "IN STOCK". Midway shows them backordered until 11/26/2010.
Ordered mine from Grafs and it's showing shipped by Fedex Ground - should be here Monday.

Midway just pushed it out until December again. Did anyone get their copy yet? Does it actually look like the photos or did it get changed?
Gunstop.com has them, Bought one Saturday the 20th.
I am a humbug, complete and unapologetic. I despise what Christmas has become, a comercial entity of it own, a mad gamble to squeeze as much cash out of the general populace as possible. I find it completely offensive. Commercials set forth the premise if you don't buy this or that object for your wife, significant other, child, mother, father, etc. then somehow their lives will be greatly deminished in some way and they will be depressed for the rest of their lives and you will probably end up suicidal because you where not completely attuned to the needs of you wife, significant other, child, mother, father etc.
It's all such a tremendous waste of time and money both of which have far better uses for much better results.

Based on info here on this forum, I took a chance and placed an order last night (Sun evening) including the "backorder status" Lyman 4th. It is in UPS's hands today on 11/22 and expected here 11/24.
I say "took a chance" because I ordered a boolit sizing die I need, and the whole order is held until the B/O is in stock.
As for crass commercialism, since I don't watch TV much and have a 5 minute commute to listen to the radio, well, I just don't get a chance to be offended that much. Especially when I forget to turn on the radio.
I give loading advice based on my actual results in factory rifles with standard chambers, twist rates and basic accurizing.
My goals for using cast boolits are lots of good, cheap, and reasonably accurate shooting, while avoiding overly tedious loading processes.
