    Cast bullet lubing grooves question

This is my first time with this problem so I figured I'd ask. I bought the NOE 311247 Whisper/Blackout mold (Picture available here) and it has 2 definite lube grooves and what appears to be a crimp groove at the very top.

But photos I've seen seem of other peoples lubed bullets indicate this might also be a lube groove because people are lubing it. You can't crimp the 300 BLK into that crimp groove, it seats much deeper.

However, it may not be obvious from the drawing, but the 3 lube grooves are not evenly spaced with the standard .125 apart. the bottom two closest to the base are .008 apart and the distance from the crimp groove to the middle one is .115. So my die with 3 holes never lines up properly to fill all 3 grooves.

So, if anyone is using a lube sizer (I use a star) did you have a custom made die with the proper hole spacing? Did you just lube the bottom two and call it good?

Also, would it be okay if I just lube the bottom two, or should I lube the top two? I can align the die to lube two of them, just not all three.

    Thanks

the two in the neck or bottom are enough.
many [most] of my boolits only have one lube groove.
some have several, and i generally just lube two of them.
enough lube is enough, more can just cause problems.

+1 R5R. If the load is perfectly balanced and the of case and boolit to chamber and throat is just right, often only one groove need be lubed. but most of the time I try to lube all the grooves that fall within the neck, at least two of them anyway.

If you run out of lube grooves the going price is $10/1000. Do a search there are people here offer them.

If you are having trouble with your lube grooves, send them to me, and I will lube them, and send them back. 25 cents each, plus postage. Please only send the grooves, as the whole boolits cost too much to ship.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

This must be the most generous bunch of guys around! Personally I keep all my lube grooves in a box alongside of my crimp grooves...

You can crimp in the crimp groove, I have and they will fit in a magazine. I have had feeding issues with them loaded there in the 300AAC.
