I'd like to have a M1 Carbine again. I had an original many years ago and stupidly let it go. I don't really want to pay current original M1 Carbine prices, nor am I looking for a collectors item, I just want a fun plinking gun. That said, a gun that doesn't work right or doesn't last doesn't interest me. I know that previous commericial versions of the M1 Carbine have been hit or miss.

Anyone have any experience with the Auto-Ordnance offerings?
