Core mold for making half jacket bullets would be my guess. Mold the cores, then mash them into big gas checks that come halfway up the bullet.
would be for a 44 when using half jaxkets.
it should pour a core in the 230 weight range
i have some of the half jaxkets, and a C&H sizer only not the dies in 44.
the nose punch would fit over the cast one and you'd squish everything up in the die locking it together.
i think wayne the shrink might have a 44 die set..
you could also make some and use a canellure tool to make a crimp groove and a lube groove on them.
or a knurling tool and tumble lube them.
i do that when squishing up some 375 boolits in my 44 swage die.
Thanks guys. Got this in a H&G package deal.
I think I have a set of dies from my grandfathers reloading setup. I know I have some jackets.
What I dont have is a .44 gun.
Yup, I have a 44 set and a 44 Mag. You can get yourself a 44 or you can sell the mold. Frankly, I'd suggest getting the 44!
