    The Last Stand target holder

I am curious if any of our members here have tried out this stand? I am looking for something to hang steel on and feel this might be the bees knees. A buddy on the fire department got me a couple rolls of fire hose so I am looking for a stand that is relatively portable.

The reason this is tempting is the range I am part of lets members shoot steel but we need to provide the hanging mechanism as well. I also have access to a couple thousand acres that is family members names so I am able to shoot longer distance but don't have a good spot to leave a permanent target.

I recommend this stand, I have both the large and small ones and they work great. Watch this short video that my friend Dave has made and see how fast it is to set up and how stable it is.

Looks like limited life span due to plastic construction

I'd look more towards this steel one

I wonder how that steel will hold up though? I am thinking the plastic will take several more hits than steel as it will self heal for a few shots. Also it will likely be lighter

The mounts are not going to be a majority of the weight your hauling around. Plastic won't "self heal" any better than steel but steel is not brittle or effected by the elements the same as plastics.

If your using T posts there are other ways to do it though.

I made this one, uses EMT for the legs and will work at distances you can't hear hits from. The black front part hides the red "flasher" until the target is hit and rocks back then it raises above for a clear visual.

An old firehose works as well, looped over the cross rod and bolted to the back of the plate.

like that flasher idea as well as using EMT. What size of EMT did you use?

1/2" EMT 10 foot sections are under $2 at homedepot, takes $4 worth cut in half.
