great price on brass to make jackets with!

Came across this add on a forum I frequent. Lots of brass for sale! These are basically scrap prices plus shipping! For all you guys making bullets from scrap brass this is some of the lowest prices I have seen and seems like the money goes towards a good cause.

I figured I would help out and pass this info on to those I know that might be in need.

The one offer that really stands out is the 5.7x28 brass! 4.5 cents a piece! For those of us turning this brass into 30 cal bullets this is the lowest I have ever seen 5.7 brass offered. Best I ever did was 7 cents a piece and if I didn't already have 10 gallons of the stuff I would buy it, even considered buying it all and turning a profit in resale but there is too much of that going on in todays shooting world so I am simply passing on this info.

I have no affiliation with the seller, just seemed like a good cause to help out and a great price on scrap brass!

Here is his email address he OK'd me to post on open forums, be sure to put "Brass" in the subject line.

    Good shooting and swage on!

Last year I did buy some 380 acp brass from him as well with no issues. I'm almost considering buying some 223 at only $40 shipped per 1k!

Just got off the phone with the gentlemen, he has tons of rim fire brass too! He said he would be wiling to offer unsorted rim fire brass (22lr, 22mag, 17hmr, etc.) for sale as well. He ships everything in med flat rate boxes so a full box by his memory calculations would be about 30lbs worth. He is getting back to me with an exact offer details but figured somewhere in the $80-$90 range shipped. Do the math.... 30lbs is about 21,000 cases, even at $90 shipped that is les then half a penny a piece. This would be unsorted so you would probably get some 22mag and 17hmr brass mixed in with it but I know plenty of 6mm swaggers that can use the larger rim fire brass

Feel free to PM me for his contact info.

    Good shooting and swage on!

Yea I picked up a box full of 5.7 and my dies aren't even here yet... this was about a month ago or so. Brass is not likely to get much cheaper than it is right now that's for sure! Even bought myself a box of 40 brass even though I already had a few thousand just for those dies I got from you lol

mckenziedrums, you are going to love those dies. Be sure when annealing you let them go long enough to burn off all that gunk. makes them stick in the point forming die if you don't. Never saw a case as dirty as when they come out of the annealing. Use SS pins to clean them. Makes great 30 cal cups. Got a 13 year old grandson can make perfect 167 grn .308 bullets from them.

Brian just PM'd me about this guy. Not sure where in FL he is, but he's in Florida.

    UPDATE,
The fellow's name is Tom Young. He's in St Petersburg, FL, which is on the left coast of Florida, South of Tampa. That's a bit of a ride from here in the Daytona area. His number is 727-742-5352
This is the club where all the brass comes from:
    http://www.wyomingantelopeclub.org

He's very open to selling brass at a very nice price.
