anyone try these coated bullets with a ar15?

One spot I can see an advantage here is my ar15 50 Beowulf. I haven't had gas port blockage problems with cast but lubes with cast are dirty and it doesn't take long before my gun is so dirty it wont run right. I now about exclusively shoot reiners in it. Have you tried a coated bullet in an ar and did it stay clean and did the coating cause gas tube blockage? I especially like the idea of being about to shoot a softer bullet like out of 5050 ww/pure that is a hp. It would be killer on deer.

Smoke, what are you sizing the 458 SOCOMs to?? I've had issues with going into battery at both .458 and .459. Shoot well when they do chamber but currently not reliable. Any hints will be appreciated. Thanks!

    What, like these? lol

the Beo does great with coated bullets. I have found in my testing anyway I can go to around 1000 rounds before cleaning becomes necessary for perfect function using coated bullets and a relatively dry running rifle. I used a 300 blackout for that testing, and with the Beowulf I usually only shoot 100 at a time at most so it is definitely not an issue with keeping it clean. I do not find that coated bullets are any dirtier than plated bullets.

I'm running AC isocore in mine @ 2100, ESPC - no problem. I don't know your twist, 1:7 took harder alloy for the BO, accuracy fell off above 1600. I've not had problems with BCG fouling with PC
    Whatever!
