35 Remington and leverevolution

I am curious if anyone is shooting this combination? I have the RCBS 200 gr mold and I am looking to start working up loads for the 35 remington and I have heard good things about this powder but no load data. I know that 3031 is a good powder but would like to try leverevolution as I already have some on hand.

If you can find it, there is a huge thread on leverevolution by Larry Gibson. He was testing and posting pressures with a 30/30, but some other calibers were also discussed.

If I remember that thread correctly there are better powders for the 35 , in the 30-30 it was very impressive though

LVR works best when pushing something heavy. Your best powder for 35 remmy seems to be AA2015 and 4064 0r Varget.

Didn't try any heavy boolits but it does seem LVR prefers boolits at the heavy end of the spectrum for the cartridges it's suitable for. I like LVR powder but can't recall if I ever made it work in the 35 Rem. Loafing at work today, will check my notes when I get home.

I shot my Model 14 this past weekend with leverevolution and was pleased with the thump it made on firing, and with a metal buttplate even. It was clearly a brush gun caliber.

I had trouble with the tubular magazine on the 14 due to the point of the projectile having trouble when the mag was on the last round. The tip squished as it is supposed to, but let the point fall off the butt of the cartridge in front of it, and I had to give up and load 4 instead a few times.

A flat-point round would not have hung up.

So, nice performance, but if you're in a hurry to load, it is NOT good in a Model 14 Remington. This might clear up with some tuning of the magazine, but it was very clean, so that wasn't it.

I've recently picked up a couple pounds of Leverevolution to fool with, but haven't yet. H4198 and the RCBS 200 was my winning combo, several other powders tried were too slow and I ran out of case capacity in the .35 with sub par velocities until I tried H4198.

I like 40-41 grains of leverevolution under the 35-200 in 35 Remington.

It works great with Rem 200 coreloks over 41.3 grains. Never did try it with cast.

Works very well in 30/30 185gr cast/FTX. Should do well in the 35 also. Meters great. Haven't tried it in 308W yet.

I loaded some up near max with the 200gr FTX and it is fantastic. Better accuracy than I can hold and recoil was not bad at all
