    Older RCBS Press

I have an older RCBS press and I am not sure what model it is. It has the rougher green finish, has a patent number on it and it has "A1" in the casting. I have heard a lot about the early A and A2 but not the A1. I am assuming the A1 is just a newer version of the A but unsure overall.

You have a first run Rockchucker. A1 is a casting lot number. Get a big wrench and take the insert out and under the insert flange there is a two digit number, stamped into the top of the frame. That is the year it was made. Late 66 or early 67 was the beginning year.
