Well that didnt do me any good Doug, lol.
I was in an antique mall yesterday looking for something I had several of years ago and threw away because I would never need one Three floors of stuff and no luck. The whole bad thing was I never saw anything I did not know what it was, AND may have had or still have one.
Funny thing a lot had generic names. For instance one person must have been infatuated with glue pots, just labeled as cast iron pot. Must have had a dozen of them.
Came home and opened the cabinet and dads glue pot with glue still in it sat there.
Jeff
I use it all up fast.
The fun thing about this stuff is that I have no trouble remembering these cans on my Dad's or my own early loading bench. While being drawn through a few antigue stores by my wife I was surprised to see many of my childhood toys marked as collectible antiques. While visiting a local gunshow I was interested to see a rare early hand loading tool on a table . I asked the fellow with the display how it was used to reload ammo. He wasn't sure but he knew it was for rifle cartridges and not shotshell. It was actually a " saw-set" for setting the relief on a hand-saw after you had filed the teeth to sharpness again. It must have had a special application for producing match grade ammo !
