    It's the start of wad residue. It will come out with a Tico tool (those long shotgun cleaning rods that are fuzzy the entire length) on just put some dry 4 ought steel wool on a 20 ga brush and put that rod in a drill. While running the drill push the rod up and down the bore. Lightly oil when done.

    I had some streaking along the length of a used barrel. Was getting depressed that it wouldn’t come out, but finally some copper choreboy pad on a bronze brush got every bit of it. No drill involved.

    My loads use claybuster wads so that could've been a contributor. I'll keep chore boy in mind for next time.
