Our newest design of bottom metal now incorporates the Inside-The-Bow Release System for sylish good looks. This bottom metal, like our Remington units, are machined from a solid forging, so there are no welds or assemblies like our older models or our competition's units. They have a full 2deg. draft around the entire perimeter to aid in the inletting process, as well as being able to accept Jewell triggers without modifications to the trigger window. These units are able to drop into factory Super Grade and Safari Express models that originally came with one-piece bottom metal, or our original units with the push-button release. In some cases the only interference in the inletting between these new models and the older units will be in the rail section where it meets with the trigger guard. Older models had a sharper edge than the new ones, which may require a very small amount of material to be removed. This is a very easy task to accomplish by the Do-it-yourselfer or home hobbiest. This bottom metal will require minor inletting on models that came from the factory with original 3-piece designed trigger guard and floorplate(those utilizing the middle guard screw).
