My father-in-law gave me a shoulder rig. It came from a retail store we used to have around here that was your typical small town all in one kind of store with a restaurant, gun store, clothing appliances etc..
So the shoulder rig has stamping on it and I will type it just how it is.
Walt Failor's
Aberdeen, WASH.
58
.357 patrolman
6
The store closed in the mid 80's so it is at least that old. The state referrence
being WASH instead of WA. trying to remember when the states changed over to
2 letter abreviations.
I'm kind of hoping that the 58 is the year it was made. the thing is in great shape, even if I never planned to use it it is a piece of local history that is in really really good shape.
can anybody decipher this, or am I pretty close?
Walt Failor was elected Mayor of our town, also. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who had exotic mounts and north American game mounts in his store he had collected over the years.
great place to scare the crap out of little kids back in the day!!
