Several steps closer to reloading.
My electronic drumset sold so I ran up to Cabelas,(which I am not happy about!!)
and got an RCBS universal hand priming tool, universal case loading block, deburring tool, powder trickler, powder funnel, uniflow powder measure, Lyman 1000XP electronic scale, case lube and some labels.
I've got my log book, digital calipers and RCBS single stage press and a die for my 7mm already.
Now I just need a .45acp die, a .270 WSM die, a .22-250 die..bullets shell casings primers powder case trimmer polisher and who knows what the hell else!!
YIKES!!

Ain't it fun.

BTW, I have been in Cabela's enough to know that they are kind of "proud" of their merchandise. If there is any other place to go in your area be sure to check them out.

Reloading Fever is almost as deadly H1N1..............
Poor Buggar doesn't know it but his days are numbered.
He will be a full fledged powder junkie.

hehe.. thats funny! I hope so. I have wanted to get into reloading for a long time I just haven't had the money to buy everything I need. It was sobering to spend so much at crapbelas only to realize how much more I still need to get. Especially considering how hard it is to get powder and primers right now. so even though its not something I can start doing right now its ok. I dont plan to stop shooting ever.

After Fourty and a few I have got way more stuff than i probably need but it is sure nice to have when you need it.

Keep your chin up getr your basics for reloading and a couple of really good books.

Then read, read and read some more. If you like doing it the reading will be easy because it intrests you.

Better throw a pic or two on here when you get some of that first bunch done.

Good luck and keep on reloading

I am going to start reloading with the .22-250 Savage predator that I am buying in january. I have alot of fire formed brass for my .270 WSM, but I don't want to start there. I can hunt coyote all year long so the .22-250 is going to be the rifle that is always with me when I get to get off the pavement. That and my .45
From what I have read the .22 is a forgiving round for reloading.
So I am looking forward to getting there. I have started the process of cleaning up and tearing my music room apart in anticipation of building a gun/reloading/music room. Drums are gone so theres alot more room in this little space for what I want to do now.
I am planning to build a bench 12' across about 2.5' high that will have a gun cleaning station on one end, a reloading station in the middle and a pc/mixer/stereo on the other end.
Then I am going to relocate my gun case and secure it to the wall and install lights bright enough to drown every corner from shadow.
I have heard from several sources that powder and primers are supposed to become more available in the new year which seems to be really hard to come by.
That is really the major piece of the puzzle I am still lacking. That and bullets but thats not a problem.

We are not having much trouble getting primers and bullets up here but the darn prices have just about tripled in price.
Availability - Good
Price _ High
That is the trade off.
The one thing up here that is a little hard to get and is terrible expensive is good Black Powder.

I hate your guy's Homeland Secruity it really threw a wrench into us getting black.

When do you expect to start loading?

Your bench sound pretty much what you need.

You must be a singin, stringin, shootin fool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:violin::fighting6 8:
