I found this forum from a search on Sharps 45-70. The thread was pretty old so I thought I'd get some more opinions. I made the jump for a Uberti hunter. I had long wanted a Sharps but they were always out of reach until this one came along. I had studied some but not really handled many, and felt the Uberti (Pedersoli) was one of the better imports. Now I have the gun, haven't shot it yet. Overall the fit and finnish seem ok except the ejector is loose and rattles around and even worse so do the triggers. Do all of these brand(s) do that? I have looked at 2 other new ones and they seem to also have sloppy loose triggers. I hate that, traded off a brand new 30-30 Marlin I won because the trigger was loose and sloppy. (the new Marlin lever actions all seem to be). Thanks for any light you can shed on the situation.
