Welcome to GunLoads.
I haven't heard anything negative about it, but I have never tried it myself. I'm perfectly happy with the products I use now.

wonder what you guys think of this.. I use KROIL or aero kroil. which is a penetrating oil. I use NO SOLVENTS! I've heard stories of people saying thier gun would not "shoot" anymore so they used some powerful bore cleaners and the gun would group again, but I wonder how much elbow grease was applied to the cleaning rod?
I spray the bore of my guns with KROIL and let it sit, spray it again and go to work with the bore brush. I think using a lubricant like a penetrating oil is better for the gun because however much of it might get left behind only protects the gun. I've seen KROIL loosen up bolts on the boilers I run that I thought would snap off because they were so rusty. the penetrating oil worked.

Penetrating oils (Kroil, WD-40, etc.) can do a great job, alone or mixed with other solvents. The only caveat is that they should never be used on any carry or defense gun. The solvents work their way around primers and deactivate them as many LEO's learned the hard way, sometimes fatally. They are great used on shotguns, rifles, and handguns that are not kept loaded, but never in any firearm that your life or those of your loved ones depend on.

I just use Shooters Choice. It works good for me.

I've heard of people using mercury to remove leading. I've got a bunch left over from gold panning and will give it a try. I know that it sticks to gold like crazy and even pulls gold plating off.
that is the route i would go too
