No UN Funding If You Attack Our Gun Rights
The United Nations is almost at the finish line in their race to force the world to adopt a global gun control treaty. In just a few short months, the Senate will decide if Americans will be coerced to hand over their constitutionally granted gun rights to the socialists at the U.N.
Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms have been working together to develop a bill that would prevent the United States from being forced to submit to the U.N.'s anti-gun agenda.
The Second Amendment Protection Act (HR 3594) would cut off funding for the United Nations unless Obama guarantees that the U.N. does not adopt any type of treaty posing a threat to national sovereignty or abridges the firearms rights of American citizens as guaranteed by the Second Amendment.
Make sure this treaty never sees the light of day! American taxpayers should not be forced to fund an organization that violates U.S. sovereignty & snatches away our second amendment rights!
FAX ALL 435 REPRESENTATIVES AND URGE THEM TO JOIN REP. WALSH &
COSPONSOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT PROTECTION ACT!
For over a decade, the bureaucrats at the U.N. have been trying to strong-arm the ATT treaty into global law. And they are getting closer by the minute. A decision on the Arms Trade Treaty is expected to be made next year.
The U.N. Arms Trade Treaty could...
Prohibit firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public.
Prohibit any transfer of firearm ownership.
Require US citizens to deliver any banned firearms they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.
Require micro-stamping on all guns.
The Arms Trade Treaty is an insult to United States sovereignty that the U.N. would be entertaining such measures while enjoying our country's hospitality at its headquarters in New York City. It is the greatest irony, and perhaps the pinnacle of hypocrisy, for the United Nations to be discussing any treaty that might threaten our Second Amendment, because it has been the United States, with its citizen soldiers and our constitutional right to keep and bear arms that has come to the world's rescue not once, but twice in global conflicts.
FAX ALL 435 REPRESENTATIVES AND URGE THEM TO JOIN REP. WALSH &
COSPONSOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT PROTECTION ACT!
Clearly, the U.N. has a very short memory. Instead, they're marching forward with their world-wide gun grab. Rep. Walsh (R-IL) remarked,
"The United States should never agree to a treaty that infringes on our constitutional rights, especially one that could implement sweeping gun control measures. This treaty poses many dangers and could put serious pressure on the U.S. to compromise on personal gun ownership rights."
For the past few years, I have spent hundreds of hours of time traveling and hundreds of hours researching to prepare for the ATT meetings. While anti-gun groups get the red carpet treatment, pro-gun groups like CCRKBA and many others have been blocked from the discussions.
My wife and I both worked to veto anti-Second Amendment language in the Arms Trade Treaty. We attended as NGO (non-Governmental Organization) delegates. It's no surprise that pro-gun NGO representatives were told that they would be shut out of most of the meetings. That's just one example of how the U.N.'s so-called diplomacy has failed.
And when diplomacy fails, it is time to close our checkbook. The Bush administration opposed such a treaty, but the Obama administration is moving forward with discussions on an international Arms Trade Treaty.
It is up to Congress to put the brakes on such efforts and protect our national sovereignty, which has been protected and defended for more than two centuries because our citizens have the right, and the resources, to defend it.
FAX ALL 435 REPRESENTATIVES AND URGE THEM TO JOIN REP. WALSH &
COSPONSOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT PROTECTION ACT!
IF THE UNITED STATES SIGNS THIS TREATY AND IT IS RATIFIED BY THE U.S. SENATE, THE UN ARMS TRADE TREATY WILL BECOME THE LAW!

Remember, protecting our freedom is not inexpensive.
But then, it's impossible to put a price tag on freedom.
Together, we can preserve the Constitutional rights our Founding Fathers intended our people to have forever.
