Gun Appreciation Day Provides Time for Reflection

Dear Kelly,
It's been a busy month.
GOA has been rallying the troops, fighting against the latest onslaught against our liberties.
We have fought the war for ideas in media outlets around the country -- including cable networks (like Fox News and CNN), newspapers like The Wall Street Journal, and scores upon scores of radio talk shows.
Many of you have been watching our media appearances; and we appreciate the encouraging remarks that you have made -- by email, phone or via our Facebook page.
In fact, Erich Pratt went toe-to-toe with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell on Wednesday, and this debate has now become the most recent debate video to go semi-viral. Comments on the GOA Facebook page range from "Erich Pratt owned her" to "She got schooled" to "I'm so pleased I rejoined GOA."

GOA has also been working in the halls of Congress to combat the President's campaign against our freedoms. We are providing legislators with talking points to oppose the President's gun control proposals. And when we say "oppose," we mean ALL of his proposals. There's not one restriction that we support; we are not about to compromise our God-given rights.
Now we are on the eve of tomorrow's Gun Appreciation Day, where gun owners around the country will be demonstrating their support for the Second Amendment by congregating at gun stores, ranges or gun shows.
But as we enter into this first Gun Appreciation Day, GOA wants to take this opportunity to thank all of you for standing with us.
You guys have taken action on our alerts ... you have forwarded these to your friends and family ... you have even bought gift memberships for them.
Heck, one of you even bought a gift membership for Piers Morgan.
With the exception of Piers, our ranks have been swelling with fresh, pro-gun recruits -- ready and eager to exercise our political muscle and fight ... every step of the way.
So again, thank you for your service as grassroots warriors for the cause of defending our liberties. As we continue to fight the battles that lay ahead, please continue to recruit others to join our free email alert service and to "like" us on Facebook.
And, yes, please continue to encourage your friends and family to join Gun Owners of America or to gift them a membership in GOA.
