I am compiling loading data on two .30 cal rounds for upcoming projects.
The .30/223 is a longer version of the .300Whisper with greater case capacity and better ballistics for deer hunting with 125 & 150 gr bullets. I will be making up one for a Contender carbine.
The .308x1.5 is a Frank Barnes creation that I would like to use to build a deer rifle on a Mauser action using 125 and 150 gr bullets, and also cast boolits up to 180 gr. There is a bunch of data for the .30BR, but that case uses a small rifle primer, and there is reportedly enough difference in the ignition characteristics that I have been warned that the data are not interchangable.
Anybody have any info on or experience with either round?
