Hey gang-
This is my first post over on this side, I spend most of my time on the CB forum. Anyway I saw this topic and had to do a little sharing; sadly no pictures though. Last weekend I was down on the Russian and really hammered the reds, (sockeye salmon). This is the first run, so the fish are a little smaller than the ones that'll be pushing upriver in another 2-3 weeks, but still a kick in the pants. Sunday morning I caught around 40, before I finally got tired and bonked my last one over the head, all in the space of around two hours. Then came the work of fileting 12 salmon, and the real fun part of the 2+ mile hike out of there with 60lbs or so fish & gear on my back. It wasn't as bad as shooting a moose, but wasn't much fun either. Hope you all are having tight lines also, take care
