6.5 swedelaods

Does anyone know any good loads for the 6.5 swede with a 85.0gn searra bullet? I bought some 85.0gn 6.5 searra bullets, and don't have a load for them. since the 6.5 was made for heavy bullets I did not want to start using them if they won't shoot to good.

Sierra lists 10 powders for use with the 85grHP in the 6.5x55 Swede. They are 3031, Benchmark, 4895, Varget, 4064, 4320, AA2700, H380, VihtN150, & RE19. What have you got available? (I'd rather not type the whole table out if I don't have to.) They list 41.7gr 3031 @ 3200fps as their accuracy load, and 45.1gr 4064 @3400fps as their hunting load. The test firearm was a m96 Swedish Mauser.

I am going to use 41gn of IMR 3031 with the 85.0gn Seirra's. I haven't tried them yet, But I will --------------------------------------as soon as I get out of trouble with BS/Mom :roll:

I went and tried shooting 41.0 gn of IMR 30-31, and shot a 2" group @ 100 yrds
