Colt .45

I have a .45 pistol. Mfg. is Inter Continental Arms, Inc. Italian. .45 Caliber, Dakota. .45 Colt.

Question? Is this a standard long Colt or a black powder weapon? This came from my dads collection and it has been years since we have shot it. And I have forgot.
Thanks in advance,
Ted

Welcome to the forum Ted.
How old is it? Does it say anything else on the barrel? If it is a fairly modern repro and it is not marked "For Black Powder Only", I would assume it would be meant for modern loads, but, like you, I would not fire them in it without finding out for sure. It is not listed in either of the books I have, but it was likely made by a company like Uberti and marketed here stamped with the name of the importer. If you could post a photo of it, I betcha someone here can ID it for you.
