I wish we had the snow around here that B.C. gets!

Really. New England isn't supposed to have a MONSOON season. We've had like 5" of rain this month already. It might be nice if it actually started acting like winter around here. Although I have to admit that the warm weather has been nice for getting to the range.

Just how warm is "warm"? Up north here, we get 30/40 below!
Most of the time, too cold to go and shoot

Welcome from a whitetail hunter from the panhandle of Texas. The rut is in full swing here. My group (nine hunters) just hung up our twentieth deer for the week. Dale:fighting68:

Tony,
I know we don't get it like you do up there, but usually we have had a foot or so of snow by now and the days should be averaging in the high 20's, low 30's. We've only had two nights so far down in the 20's and everything that has fallen from the sky this month has been rain. It was beautiful and over 50 today, so I smelted up 125lbs of linotype and 80+ lbs of wheel weights. This hasn't been a very good deer season here, kill in this zone is way below recent years, no snow to track them in, and most of the low brush still has leaves so visibility is poor in the thick cover. We've been seeing a lot of does, but it's bucks only in this zone and none of our group has shot one yet. Good thing we're on the roadkill list, so at least there'll be some meat in the freezer.
