I just got done shooting my 6.5 swede and I thought, why not see how far this thing penetrates? so I set up a frozen wood block and BOOM! went through it, of a 15 inch block of frozen wood! 12.5gn of 2400 with 140gn cast was my load. Next time I will put up two blocks of wood!

Yeah it's pretty amazing how far a bullet will penitrate ! Most impressive is a Gallon jug (plastic)full of water ,most of the damage is caused through Kentic energy But wow is it impressive !

300 H&H Old Paint can plumb full of water drive top on with swing press (hammer)
Set can on post back up 50 to 100 yards shoot dead center. Fall down laughing it is amazing:fighting72:

Oh yes I know about gallon jugs (milk jug) one time Dad took 5 milk jugs set them up and shot them whith his 22 cooper (C.C.M.) went through every one ! oh man that thing blew them up.:cool: 8-) :cool: 8-)

I put up two blocks of wood, and caught my boolit! and I miked it, and it miked @ 253 was 268! and it lost 9.5gn!
