how old and far back, indians and eagles or the DDT age when the eagles were a myth. you only saw pictures unless you were very lucky. kind of nice to look up and see them on a regular bassis. reminds some of us on how easy we can destroy with out thinking. not as common but i see a grop of turkey vulters couple times a year and the wild turkeys will soon become pests there growing so fast.

Can honestly say we don't have many Vulturs around this area. But our eagle population is definatly on a strong come back. For about the last 7 years our fish and game have been adding eagle nests all over (especially on telephone polls). Which has helped add a great number of birds around. It's sure spectacular to see a baldy fly over head.

About an hour from my house there is a good size roost for Bald Eagles. I am sure glad to see them repopulating there is nothing that impresses me more than watching one of those big birds take flight.
