I am anxiously awaiting the big brown truck with a long-sought prize, a 9x57. A pre-war Husky from Sarco. Now looking for loading information. Does anyone have a favorite load? Anyone shoot this round? Also looking for a couple of rds of original to use as measurements and for display.

Welcome orent.
Wow, that one almost stumped the chump. I had to dig out COTW to find some loading info for you, but even there is not much to be found. None of my regular manuals even list it.

It says it's "balistically equivalent" to the .358win. Similar weights of the same powders produce similar velocities. I do not know that the data will interchange with jacketed bullets, but there should be no problem using reduced data with cast boolits. It seems, like the .358, to be a perfect hunting round for use with cast as there are so many moulds available in that size from 100-300gr.
I would also ask next door at the CB board to find out who is loading what for it. I betcha there are a few over there who shoot it and can give you more usable data for it.
