Ruger Synthetic Stock

I have a ruger with a synthetic stock - the new one not the old boat paddle style. To make this rifle a bit easier on the shoulder I want to remove the recoil pad and put probably lead shot in to give it a bit more weight.
My question is can the recoil pad be removed easily and then glued back in place once I have got the correct weight in the stock?

Don't see why not it was glued on once. Find out what adhesive that was used or Gunsmiths use and you should be all right.
