Hey I am new here. Our group mainly hunts yotes but we will kill a fox if we see it while yote hunting if they are in season of course. I shoot a remington model 788 .243. Seems to be a very accurate and very reliable gun. I started reloading about 5 years ago but still have alot to learn. Looking forward to learning alot of info from people on here.

Welcome to the forum AJB. Well, you already know enough to use the most accurate rifle Remington has ever made. That's a great start. (Maybe you can tell I'm just a tad bit partial to 788's. I have two now, a .308 and a .22-250, the two most accurate rifles I own - and I own a lot of rifles.) I have also been known to shoot coyotes, though it's been a while since I've been able to do any ridge running. These days I'm much more likely to be found going after something I can eat.

I bought my model 788 when i was 16(11years ago) for 250 bucks cash from a older gentleman who lets me hunt his land. He said he bought it new and still had the original box of bullets he bought for it. I ended up getting the rifle and 3 boxes of ammo. The only draw back was it had a 4x32 scope on it. Not anymore though. Overall I thought it was a great buy for my tax returns at that age.
