Was at the Calgary Gunshow on the weekend and ordered in a laser scope for a pistol.
It looks a lot like a Bushnell Holo Scope and now I am wondering how in the world will I mount this on my CZ or my 1911 Colt?
Do I have to get the tops drilled and tapped and then put on a rail?
Don't know a lot about pistols and should have given it more thought before doing this.
Any input would be much appreciated Ken..
I remember some right grip pannels for 1911, made of metal, with a pilar flying above the slide. They looked somewhat like a "T".
Brownells?

You could d&t the slide, but it would be a lot less wear & tear on the scope if you used the grip-type mount k-g suggests or a frame mount.
Brownells Cat. #56, pg 265:
Grip mounts:
Aimtech: #017-245-001 $63.25
NPC: #349-045-000 $60.50
Weigand also makes two frame-mount units, they come in silver & black, and silver without holes. Listed #'s are for black:
3rd Gen: #957-000-052 $99.95
GP Mount: #957-000-051 $69.95

N ow that you guys mention it I have seen one of them for the 1911's.
That would solve that problem.
Next is the CZ has to be something out there for it also thanks.
Ken.

I don't have access to a CZ, so I can't line them up side by side to measure and compare, but if neither of the three companies can help you out with a ready-made product, it might be possible to modify a 1911 mount, if grip angles or frame thicknesses are similar. I've never dealt with any of them, but it never hurts to ask.

Both for Tanfoglio, so...
...and Aimtech seem to ignore CZ's and clones:

Same here ... maybe an other brand.
Which CZ do you have and where did you buy it? Can you find affordable mags?

Check Gunnar out in Pr. George. The CZ operate Open guns and I have seen CZ's with optical sights mounted. I think if you go to the CZ web site you should find something in their catalogue.
Take Care
