GUN DETAILS | Cimarron/ Uberti Mod 1873 "P" Jr. 32-20 / 32 H&R Mag. Duel Cyl. (Size of 22 Single Six) The fit & finish outstanding, no cyl locking bolt drag line after 300 rounds: Problem with 115 gr blts sized .312 /3.8 gr unique it printed 10 in. low and 6 in. to right. Increasing the load to 4.2 grs. of unique and increased size to .314 dia. shrank the best groups to about an inch at 50 ft. from a sand bag rest. I then filed to front sight with try and error by about half. Opened the rear sight to the left and it now prints dead on. |
OTHER DESCRIPTION | This is a great fun gun. I found an Original Winchester "nut cracker" tool in 32-20 WCF, on Ebay, that turns out neck sized rounds faster that a single stage press. The Lee case length gage in M-1 carbine will drop in as a replacement decapper, as it is often lost. I made a brass powder dipper from a cut down 9mm case with a wire handle that works great. Its not as fast as my Dillon, but its more fun. |

GUN DETAILS | S&W 631 .32 H&R Magnum with Pachmyer Grips. Great small game "Woods Rambler" revolver. I often carry when shotgunning for birds. It is often possible to get a rabbit sitting (hold the shotgun in the left hand, draw the revolver and drop the bunny). I have often found it useful to carry when hunting grouse. Occasionally a wounded grouse will keep just ahead of the hunter and can be difficult to run down. They often will get into brush too dense to dig out. However, with the handgun, it is easy to get close enough to clip their heads off with a single well placed shot. This load also works extremely well in my S&W 16-4 (K model). |
