GUN DETAILS |
This load was developed for a gun which I aquired which is a M.71/84 "washer action" Mauser which had been converted (and expertly so) to fire this cartridge long before it came into my posession. I see no reason why it will not work equally well with a lever action of the same caliber. |
OTHER DESCRIPTION |
The original antique Winchester load data (early 1900's) calls for 40 grains of FFg with a 170gr. jacketed bullet. The Lee 2.8cc Dipper drops about 41 grains with todays Black Powder and produces velocities equivalent to the origninal early 1900's load. |
