My first bear
As a matter of fact, I just shot my first bear this year. And to be quite honest, the bear I shot was the first bear I have seen in the wild. I was with my two brothers and we saw the bear over a river on a hillside and it looked HUGE. After I shot it, we thought we made record books on this baby. But as we got closer... it was pretty small. It weighted out to be about 130 pounds, but it had a nice diamond white spot on it's chest. Someone told me afterwards that in order to pick out a BIG bear, you have to look at the size of the ears, and if it has big ears, it's small. If you can't really see the ears, than it's big.
