Hunter Ed Project
With all the different .30 cal cartridges out there, new, old, wildcats, and the old standbys, it can be really confusing to new hunters (who are all too often "helped" by minimum wage no-nothing clerks in the sporting goods sections at the big box stores). After one of my students went to out local Wally world for .30-30 ammo and came back with a box of -06's taht the clerk told him would "fit any .30cal rifle out there", I decided to do something about it. After I went to the manager, got the kid a refund (they're not supposed to accept returns on ammo) after explaining to the fool what an implied warranty of merchantability was, and got the dub who sold them fired, I put this cartridge board together with help from folks on three forums and my shooting club. It's really just the tip of the iceberg, and there were a bunch that should have been on here too but I just couldn't get my hands on a case to add to the board. It's got most of the more common factory and wildcat ones though, and it makes a great show-and-tell for my HE classes.
It's kind of hard to read the small print in the photo, but here's the list from the top to the bottom: .300RUM, .300 Rem SAUM, .300WSM, .300H&H, .300WinMag, .30-06, 7.5x55Swiss, 7.62x54R, 7.5MAS, .308Win, .307Win, .300sav, .30-40Krag, .30BR, .30-30Win, .30Rem, .30Herrett, 7.62x39, .30/.223, .300Whisper, .30Carb, 7.62x38Nagant, 7.62x25Tokarev and .30Luger.

versifier
Not only kids some of the so called adults that work behind the counters of Gun stores leave a lot to be imagined.
Really nice project.
