    Default 308 125 gr Nosler Spitzer loads

    Working up some 308 loads.

    Bullet: 125 grn Nosler Spitzer Ballistic Tips
    Powder: Varget
    Once fired Hornady Match brass trimmed to 2.017

    Rifle: Rem 700 Varmint, 26", 1:14 (out of the box)

    Start load. 48 gr = 2978 fps

    2nd load. 49 gr = 3001 fps

    3rd load. 50 gr = 3080 fps

    Now we go the range and check accuracy.

    .308 Win - Nosler brass - 210M primer - CFE 223 powder - 125 ballistic tips (moly coated)

    55.5 grains = 3230 10 shot average with all 10 in same raggy hole, 3/4" - Kimber Montana w/ Leupold VX3 3.5x10x40mm

    55.0 grains behind 130 TSX (moly'd) = 3170 5 shot average and 5 into 7/8" at same POI

    reports are good on the CFE 223 and time will have to be the judge - RL-15 was always my go to .308 powder
