    Default Book about Bass

I was wondering if anyone has read the book BASS'N with a FLY ROD by Jack Ellis.
If you have, I would like to hear your thoughts on the book.

Never read the book but I have taken a few with a fly rod. Fishing for pan fish or I should say Crappie I got a Bass. I changed over to a small yellow streamer and caught a few more and one went 4lbs. That one was a blast. Took about 15 mintues to land. I played him till I wore him out. Sure was some good eating in the camp that night.

Would that have been a Mickey Finn, by chance? I'll have to tie some up if it was.

I have several friends that fish Bass, Crappie, etc., that I've agreed to go with. It would be one heck of a lot of fun to catch a decent Bass on a light fly rod!

It's a blast. Try a small floating frog too.

A few years back I was fishing with a big green popper with a 7 wt. rod and 4 lb. tippet, and a grass carp hit it. It took 72 minutes to land it. I showed it to my wife, put it back , and went home. Tired!
