Welcome to the forum Robert. What do you shoot and what are you looking for?
If I can see it, I can hit it. Now, where did I put my glasses?

Had been working on a 25 WSSM but got it down pat two weeks ago. I sell guns part time and sold my cousin a Ruger #1 in 25-06, It does not like factory ammo and so far I can't load anything to please it either. The 25 seems to like speed so that is what I did for it this 25-06 has stumped.

    As I say speed kills.

    Robert-
My old Ruger in .25-06, (M77 tang safety) was fond of near max loads of IMR 4350. My deer load was a Nosler 120 gr Partition, 48.5 gr IMR 4350, CCI 200 and Win brass. I had it seated out as far as I could get away with. That rifle would keep 5 of those in a quarter all day long as long as I did my part. Might be a place to start, hope this helps.

    12point,
your gun seems to be the same as my Dads 22/250, it does not shoot to good with light loads, it likes top end loads (HOT LOADS!!!!!!) but after you get to the top end loads it shoot less then 1"groups!(with jacketed bullits going very fast!

Oh yes I forgot to mention, the less then 1" groups were shot at 100 yrds. and that same gun had a egg in the end of the barrel and Dad had to cut about 2" off the end of the barrel!
I forgot to post this in my last post, sometimes I think all the things that I want to post, and then while i'm posting I forget some of the things that I was going to post!
