    Default Stevens 200 in .223

    Hey guys,

I couldn't stand it anymore. I went down to Sportsman's Warehouse today and bought a Stevens 200 in a .223. 320$ out the door. They didn't have the scope I wanted. I found one at a locally owned shop. A Bushnell Legend series 5X15 target scope for 280$ mounted and bore sighted. Got it home and scrubbed the hell out of the barrel and removed all of the mold seams from the stock. Then I sat down and loaded 40 rounds of 50gr Ballistic tips ahead of 25gr of Varget and BR4 primers to break it in and sight it in.

Everything I've heard about this gun is that it is a good shooter for the money.
It's going to be my varmint rifle. Wifey was pretty impressed also.

I'll let you guys know how it shoots.

    Tony

I've got the same exact rifle- sub-1/2 MOA groups at 100 yds.
