Well i have been shooting and reloading ammo for the last 36 yrs, the rifles i enjoy are the 223 1in 9 or 1in8 the 243 in a 1in 9 or 8 i like to fire the 95gr vlds.
I do have an older 3006 and a 6.5x55 that i shoot only once in a while.

My 223 has seemed to like varget 25.1gr behind the 75 vld, i have had to replce the barrels on my savage about every 22 to 2500 rds, on one barrel the bore rifleing moved ahead almost 4 inches could hrdly believe the barrel shot as long as it did.

The 243 gets even less rds when i use the 95 gr vlds behind imr4350.
Savage and ruger our my off the shelf rifles of choice.
Savage because barrels are cheap lothar walther $259.00 FERRET 50 ARMS, AND THEY ARE EASY TO REPLACE.

And the ruger because i just like the darn thing, and the way the rings attach to the rifle very secure. This is my favorite 243 rifle although i do have the savage 243 too, like them both.

    Welcome to the forum MRBARREL.
I'm kinda partial to Sierra 100grGK's and IMR 3031, but every rifle has a different opinion.
If I can see it, I can hit it. Now, where did I put my glasses?
