After ordering on line to Numrich and having them acknowledge my order, they have now sent me a letter stating "NOT AVAILABLE" so I still need a bolt.
Hey, I recognize those shoes!! Thanks for the venison son. Salami was perfect and the steaks went into the crock pot. Tell Superwoman hello for me.

Found it. It is an Iver Johnson.
I've seen a number of suggested loads for Alliant 2400 in .30-06 w/cast bullets. Anybody ever use Accurate #9. Properties seem to be very close. I'm short on 2400 but have big jug of 9.
Well, thanks to a tip from k-g I have a magazine coming that I found on gun broker. Again, thanks to k-g I've ordered a bolt assembly from gun parts corp.. Hope it fits. Maybe this old gun can see...
GySgt is E-7, MSgt is E-8, istSgt is E-8, MGySgt is E-9, SgtMaj is E-9, Now, can we find me a bolt for this rifle?
For Bama: Nope, the term "Gunny" is for a gunnery sergeant. I am a master sergeant, nickname "Top." I was a gunny for 6 years before I was promoted to master sergeant, hence my identifier here as...
Thank you to all who have responded, a special thank you to versifier who I am happy to tell that I have located a magazine and yes, it latches on the side. I found it thanks to one of your leads....
From what I've read so far, even if I find a replacement bolt it may be unsafe to use it without having it fitted to my paticular rifle. If that is the case I'm out of luck because that would be...
The word "Eureka" on strap above cylinder. Appears to be .22 rimfire. Cylinder too short for .22 long rifle. Maybe .22 long.
Well, let's take a look. The mag release is on the right side of the mag well. Yes, on the side. The writing on the left side beneath the rear sight is ".30-30." On the other side is "Hi-Pressure...

By the way, NEVER EVER call a Marine "Sarge." That's Army talk. It is the 2nd thing a Marine recruit learns in boot camp...
Not on desktop. Don't know how. Have registered at photo bucket. Got picture of rifle in album.
For Mr. Gable: Looked under stock. No info.
Lived here 10 yrs. Don't know any Gables. Looked in...
Didn't work
You say I must register first. How do I do that? You probably won't find anyone more computer illiterate than me. You say browse my computer. Duh! You say upload. Duh! I'm all out of paste. Don't...
Too much computer speak for me. Don't know how to do what you wrote. Not much good on computer. New at this.
I'm quite new to this. Don't know how to post a photo. Will you help?
Asked Gun Parts Corp.. She said sounded like 340 but without a model number on rifle she wasn't sure. Research elsewhere suggests it may be a Model 40 but again, not sure. I want to order the correct...
Neighbor gave me a rifle. No bolt, no magazine. It is a Savage. No model number but barrel reads "Super Sporter." It is in .30-30. Anybody know where I can get the missing parts?
