    Default New Pistol

Hey Guys, I'm looking for a new 9mm Pistol for home protection. I have an arsenal of medium - long length guns but I've never been interested in pistols (I'm an odd one I suppose :P) I've been trying to do research on a good starter pistol, whatever that may mean, and have had many a Glocks recommended. So I ask you Gun Loads, what firearm longs for my ownership?

Howdy! I'm glad you're choosing a pistol as reliable self defense firearm, its hard to compare. I will suggest a mid-size .357 revolver. You can get practice shooting .38 special rounds in it, and even use them for defense as they're perfectly adequate. But if you want to step up to the magnum rounds, you have the option.

    I'd recommend a Ruger SP-101 with the 3" barrel.

Here is a link to the gun, you can further check out the specs and get a look at it.

    Best of luck
