Hello all. I am a rifle loonie! Not the kind that has 100 rifles of various manufactures. No, I am the kind that seeks out high quality specimens of military bolt action combat rifles. Then I tear off the barrel and dispose of the stock and then have them rebarreled to cartridges that turn me on. The first two were done because that is what fell in my lap. The rest is pure passion. I do all my own stock work. I would do my own metal work but a lathe is out of the question. Here is the list in order of completion:
VZ24 in .280 rem
VZ24 in .270 win
1903A3 in 6.5-06
p14 enfield in 264 win mag
98/29 persian mauser in .338-06
MarkX in 30-338wm
1903A3 in .35 whelen
Rebarreled the 6.5-06 in 6.5-284 win.
The next project on the board is a 1884 springfield BPCR.
Just a matter of logistics.
